*Limited* Variegated Monstera Cutting Flash Sale
Helloooo Urban Plant Oasis family.
This year in addition to my spring presale (with summer shipping dates), I am now adding a fall cutting flash sale.
What is a fall cutting flash sale?
Well, I am so glad you asked.
In my fall flash sale, I am taking cuttings and keeping them in water until you pick and buy one. Once it’s paid for… I’m mailing it to you immediately. So no waiting for me to root it and getting photo updates like you would in the spring sale. Within 3-4 business days of your purchase, you’ll have a leaf-cutting in hand for you to swoon over and root yourself.
Why a flash sale? Well with the cooling temperatures, there’s more likely a chance you’ll get a healthy cutting if it’s shipped sooner than later. The colder the weather gets, the more likely your cutting could die in transit.
How do you mail it?
Each cutting will have its root node wrapped in a soaked paper towel and then sealed in a plastic baggie, and THEN sealed in a plastic mailer. This will ensure that the root will stay moist through transit. Once wrapped, I carefully package the whole leaf into a 2-day flat rate priority box with tissue paper to make sure the leaf doesn’t wiggle around.
How do I root my cutting?
Honestly, just leave it in water. I’ve heard so many insane stories of people trying to use different mediums to only have moderate success. Every cutting I’ve ever taken has gone straight from the plant directly into water… and I have had 100% success. What cuttings are available?
Again, so glad you asked. This year for my flash sale I have 3 bottom cuttings and 2 top cuttings. Top cuttings are more expensive because they produce new leaves directly from the stem you buy, and they generally are produced faster. Bottom cuttings come from the middle or bottom of the stem and will take longer to produce a new leaf because it has to grow a whole new stem before it’ll give you a new leaf.
Below I’ve included photos of the actual leaf cuttings available.
